Sauerkraut!
The problem was, I couldn’t STAND the stuff!
But when I talked to my nutrition obsessed dad about it, he was like, “cabbage and fermented cabbage in particular has tremendously healing properties for the human gut. Learn to like it!”
Well it turns out it was the slimy, limp, pasteurized to death store bought kind that I didn’t like. Real, homemade sauerkraut tastes fabulous!
The good stuff in a jar costs like $10 BUCKS! You can make a years supply in about an hour for about the same price.
PLUS if you do it with your old man you can have quality time and bonding!!

What you need is some really good non-pasteurized home made local Sauerkraut. It will help you to run faster, stop quicker, jump higher and heal what ails you…
Here’s the recipe:
3 Tablespoons of Salt mixed in with 5 pounds of fresh cabbage.
Mush down into a container that doesn’t have a leak in it.
And place a plate on top of the compressed salt cabbage mixture.
Then carefully place a weight on top of the plate…
After a week check it to see if it tastes right to you. Wait another week and try it again. Wait another week and try again. wait another week and try again…
EVENTUALLY… When you like the texture and flavor, put it into smaller containers or jars and freeze it until you’re ready to eat it. Then keep it in the refrigerator until it’s gone…
